Initially starting as a pitch for Adidas & JD Sports that I was a part of during my time at Razorfish, this interactive retail experience installation with full 3D control and customization quickly turned and evolved into a personal concept/passion piece. A compilation of multiple design disciplines, the idea allowed me to draw upon 3D modeling, Interactive motion, rigging, texturing, design and UX to explore a completely unique and out of the box experience.

The activation zone is an installation that users can interact and participate in. Using the touch enabled vertical screen, users select a blank shoe and are given customization tools, including a library of graphics and color options. Upon completion, the user watches as their creation is brought to life in realtime, spray painted by two automated CNC robots.

Initial explorations for the touch screen started as wireframes, detailing a CTA that would appear upon user customization and a final confirmation screen that would show successful completion and ability to share with friends and geo-tag location in NYC.

The digital interface supports touch gestures and multi touch technology. Users can swipe through a blank shoe model before using full 3D rotation and pinch gestures to drag and drop graffiti and street style decals on their chosen shoe.
